Evening Runs

Stuck in the office all day, really want to get out and increase your
fitness, fed up with gyms? SLJ offers you an option on Wednesday evenings
leaving from Hollybush Car park promptly at 7.30pm.

During the dark evenings the runs are around the streets of Sevenoaks
incorporating hills as well as the flat to give you a good work out. Once
the clocks go back and the evenings are lighter we move these sessions so we
run through beautiful Knole park and the surrounding footpaths.

All runs are risk assessed to ensure that the route we use is as safe as
possible. In rare situations such as ice or very high winds we may have to
cancel a run at short notice. This will be done by an email so please ensure
you check your emails prior to turning up if you are wondering about it.
Rest assured we run in ALL other weathers and have cancelled a run only
three times in the last two years!

Very occasionally due to an unexpected occurrence we may have to replan the
route and take you else where. Each coach has their favourite routes so you
will get to know the area very well!

We offer a choice of pace group on all our runs. Each pace group has their
own coach.

The faster group will generally be running at 10 to 11 minute mile pace,
while the steadier pace group will be nearer 11 1/2 to 12 1/2 minute mile
pace. For both groups the coach will ensure that those at the back of the
pack are not left behind or forced to run at a pace they struggle with!
Equally those who wish to run faster will be given extra loops to do to
ensure they get a good workout.
